[jitsi-dev] Issue Report: Chat state notifications sent to bare jids.

#1

Hi!

Issue:

Chat state notifications are sent to the bare JID. Messages carrying
chat states should follow the same resource locking rules as normal chat
messages.

Hey Kim,

I am not sure I follow. Could you please explain exactly what behaviour
you are seeing with Jitsi, how to reproduce it, and how you would expect
it to be?

When I'm having an (XMPP) conversation with someone, and start typing, a
notification is sent to the bare JID, not to the full JID. The typing
notifications should follow the same JID locking rules as normal messages.

So, to reproduce, send an XMPP chat message to someon (should go to the
bare JID), wait for them to reply, then start typing and see what
stanzas are sent.

I can't actually try right now I'l do so later. Could you please open up a
ticket?

Thanks,
Emil
