[jitsi-dev] Integrate JITSI Videochat into mobile App

Hello guys,

We would like to integrate Jitsi Videochat into our mobile app without
opening the Jitsi Meet App.

Is there anybody who could support us and help us to integrate it (payment
inclusive).

Thank you very much for your help.

Best regards

Benjamin

Für weitere Fragen stehe ich sehr gerne zur Verfügung.

Saul,

The SDK is for native (Java/Objective C), I am told that Jitsi team is also
working on React native app.

What is the plan for the two ways in the future?

The SDK is a thin native wrapper over the react-native code really  So both SDKs, while native, use React Native internally.

So just adding the jitsi sdk to my existing mobile app will enable the users to initiate audio video calls?

No need to have a server?

There is a server, of course. By default the apps connect to meet.jit.si which is free to use. You can also deploy your own server.

which file to edit to change the url if using my own server?

There is also another concern. Let us say jitsi is installed on mydomain.com. Anyone visiting this server, will be able to use it. I do not want people to access server through web just by going to my domain. How to avoid it? Did you get my point?

None. When integrating the SDK use JitsiMeetConferenceOptions and set the server URL.

You can configure authentiction on your server, the mobile SDK supports it.
