[jitsi-dev] Instruction for installing Jidesha?

#1

I am hosting rocket.chat on my own server but not Jitsi, and rocket.chat is
using Jitsi for the video chat.
So in my case, if I am using Jitsi's server for the video chat through
rocket.chat, do i still need to install Jidesha in order for my users to
use screen share ? I do get the error message: failed to install desktop
extension.

If so, is there a tutorial or instruction in terms of how to get Jidesha up
running? there is nothing in Github.

You need to create one and publish it cause you are using it from
different domain. And the documentation is at:
https://github.com/jitsi/jidesha/blob/master/chrome/README.md

My rocket.chat is on a different domain, but i am using Jitsi on Jitsi's
domain, because Rockat.chat simply just embedded Jitsi in the software.
essentially I am using exactly the same website address, meet.jit.si, but
for whatever reason, when click the screenshare button, it reacted
differently when i enter meet.jit.si through jitsi's web and through RC
embedded jitsi. What can be the reason?
