[jitsi-dev] installer

#1

Good Morning Developers,

I was wondering if you have documentation on how to create a rpm installer.
This is my first time working with ant and I am able to build it and compile
jitsi but had no look creating the installer. I read the documentation that
you provide on the website. Thank you very much for your help in advance.

I found the following link on the internet: http://mcepl.fedorapeople.org/rpms/jitsi.spec

It is the spec file needed to build an rpm but as I am not a Fedora/RedHat/OpenSuse users I cannot help you more on the commands/tools to be use.

That helped a lot. I've been trying to build jitsi for some time but I
don't know much about building and packaging Java apps. I was also
able to track down the two patches referenced in the spec file.

I've built packages for Fedora 15 64bit and also uploaded the source
RPM in case others need it for different releases or architectures.

I've verified it does at least run and it appears to be functional,
however, a LOT more work would be necessary to make it acceptable for
inclusion in the main Fedora repository.
