[jitsi-dev] ICE/TURN with SIP?

#1

I've just done another test of DruCall with Jitsi

I setup Jitsi like so:
- advanced, TLS: disable SSL v2 and v3, only TLS v1 enabled, restart Jitsi
- account setup:
  - TLS manual config
  - Jitsi SRTP settings: SDES, mandatory, RTP/SAVP only

I can successfully set up a call, but no media passes in either direction.

Then I remembered that ICE/TURN is not supported with SIP in Jitsi:
given that TURN is essential for WebRTC, is this decision likely to be
revisited?

I'm testing against the b-webrtc branch of reSIProcate (repro proxy) and
the reTurn server 1.8.5-3 in Debian.

Regards,

Daniel

Hey Daniel

Then I remembered that ICE/TURN is not supported with SIP in Jitsi:

revisited?

It's not supported because nobody had the time or resources to implement it,
not because we don't want it. Quite the contrary, we hope to work on it
sooner or later and would be more than happy about any contribution.

I am actually planning on spending some cycles on this in the following
week.
