[jitsi-dev] ICE failures

#1

Hi,

... as of today the connection which worked flawlessly for many times suddenly stopped working with an ICE failure. Calls fail both ways - in and out. Both partners have routers - I'm on an branded Alice router (which worked before) and my partner has a Fritzbox- which never made any problems.

For me it it possible though get called by the echo bot. (but it's probably on a public IP)

There are some DNS exceptions:

20:54:43.489 INFO: util.dns.ParallelResolver.run().544 Exception occurred during parallel DNS resolvingjava.net.SocketTimeoutException
java.net.SocketTimeoutException
  at org.xbill.DNS.Client.blockUntil(Client.java:43)
  at org.xbill.DNS.UDPClient.recv(UDPClient.java:124)
  at org.xbill.DNS.UDPClient.sendrecv(UDPClient.java:150)
  at org.xbill.DNS.SimpleResolver.send(SimpleResolver.java:252)

But that's it. I send an excerpt of the logs and preserved the complete logs for later evaluation. Whom should I send it to?

Thanks in advance for your help

Conrad

Reminds me of 934:

Hi,

... as of today the connection which worked flawlessly for many times
suddenly stopped working with an ICE failure. Calls fail both ways - in and
out. Both partners have routers - I'm on an branded Alice router (which
worked before) and my partner has a Fritzbox- which never made any problems.

For me it it possible though get called by the echo bot. (but it's probably
on a public IP)

There are some DNS exceptions:

  at org.xbill.DNS.SimpleResolver.send(SimpleResolver.java:252)

Could just be a temporary problem with your DNS provider. Maybe try
OpenDNS if you don't already, CacheCheck looks fine for java.net:
