[jitsi-dev] How to make deb package myself?

#1

Hi all,

How can I make/build the deb packages from Jicofo, JVB and Jigasi source code myself?

Is it possible to do it thur IntelliJ?

Or is there any command to do so?

Thank you very much,

Sunny

Hi all,

There is a target "deb" in the ant build xml file "build_debian.xml".

Is that for building the debian package?

I guess the command is "ant deb".

Should I run it on a machine running debian OS as well?

Hi,

Yes you need to do it on ubuntu/debian and you need to do it in the
main folder of the project usually the command is:
$ ant rebuild deb -Dlabel=1111 (version number 1111).
And because of maven you also need to pass and -lib parameter, but
this is described in the beginning of every build.xml file.

Hi damencho,

Thanks for your reply.

Besides, I need to run below command beforehand:

mvn dependency:get -DartifactId=maven-ant-tasks -DgroupId=org.apache.maven -Dversion=2.3 -DrepoUrl=https://mvnrepository.com/artifact/org.apache.maven.plugins/maven-dependency-plugin

I got some errors/complaints that the parameter "repositoryUrl" was missing.

I wonder and suggest if something can do in the "build.xml" to save someone else from this effort next time?

Thanks,

Sunny
