[jitsi-dev] How to dynamic config and enable database in Prosody?

#1

Dear Team,

Can you please tell me how to do dynamic config in Prosody. It's means when
I add new Component, I don't have to restart Prosody service.

And I see Prosody support Database but when I uncomment Mysql database in
my Prosody config file, it doesn't write anything to my database that I
input in. Do I have to config another things rather just uncomment and
input user, password, ip of my Mysql Database.

Thank you so much.

Hi, Prosody developer here.

Dear Team,

You want to enable this module:
https://modules.prosody.im/mod_auto_activate_hosts.html

And I see Prosody support Database but when I uncomment Mysql database in my
Prosody config file, it doesn't write anything to my database that I input
in. Do I have to config another things rather just uncomment and input user,
password, ip of my Mysql Database.

No, that should work fine. Check your log file for errors when Prosody
tries to connect to the database.

If you have problems, maybe bring your problems over to one of the
Prosody support venues so we don't spam this list with
Prosody-specific discussion. See https://prosody.im/discuss

Best of luck with your project!

Regards,
Matthew

Dear Matthew,

Thank you so much. Can you please share me what will be written in the
database when I enable MySQL in Prosody config. Like number of conference,
events, user actions, ect ....?
