[jitsi-dev] HID-compliant devices in SIP Communicator

#1

Hi,

Is there any plans on adding support for HID-compliant devices to SIP
Communicator in future versions? Our company is testing both SIP
Communicator and Countherpath's Bria as a client in our new SIP-system, but
we need support for HID-compliant devices. We have just bought Jabra PRO
9470 on every workstations, and with a HID-supported client we can use the
keys on the headset/display to answer/hang up calls, and the display shows
if we have an active call a.s.o. This works perfectly in Countherpath's
Bria and Skype.

Many thanks for a quick reply.

Best regards,

I am afraid we don't currently have any plans for this. You could have
it custom developed though, and we can then integrate it into SC.

The company I work for provides that kind of service but you could also
have it made by any regular development agency. Please contact me
off-list if this is something you are interested in.

Cheers,
