[jitsi-dev] Hello and problem compiling jitsi-videobridge

#1

Hi

my name is Chris and I'm studying at the University of Applied Sciences in
Munich. Within my bachelor thesis, I will implement an XMPP echo service.
I'm looking forward to contribute to Jitisi!

I would like to add the echo service to the jitsi-videobridge project. I
checked out https://svn.java.net/svn/jitsi~svn/jitsi-videobridge but it
seems like I'm missing a lot of Java packages and libraries. I could find
most of them in the sc-bundles folder of the jitsi project after compiling
it. Could someone tell me where to find the missing stuff? And where to
add it from correctly?

list of libraries I was missing in the beginning is following:
bouncycastle.jar
configuration.jar
dns.jar
fileaccess.jar
json.jar
neomedia.jar
netaddr.jar
packetlogging.jar
protocol-jabber.jar
protocol-media.jar
resourcemanager.jar
ui-service.jar
zrtp4j.jar
util.jar

I found all of them in sc-bundles and additionally added fmj.jar and
libJitsi.jar.

Then I was still missing these packages:
net.java.sip.communicator.service.neomedia.*;
net.java.sip.communicator.service.configuration.*;
net.java.sip.communicator.impl.neomedia.control.*;
net.java.sip.communicator.impl.neomedia.transform.*;
net.java.sip.communicator.impl.neomedia.format.*;
net.java.sip.communicator.impl.osgi.framework.launch.*;
net.java.sip.communicator.service.configuration.*;

I found some of them under org.jitsi.... but then I'm still missing some
data types. I suppose I'm doing something wrong...

Thank you very much for your help!

Please update to SVN revision 9767. We've switched Jitsi to llibjitsi but we haven't gotten to switching jitsi-videobridge to it yet. Technically, the dependency JARs that you needed could be produced by building Jitsi from an SVN revision prior to the switch to libjitsi such as 9683.
