[jitsi-dev] Having question about how Jicofo communicates with Jitsi-Meet and Jitsi-Videobridge.

Hi Experts,

How are you doing these days?

I have 3 questions about how Jicofo communicates with Jitsi-Meet and
Jitsi-Videobridge.
1. Does Chrome use XMPP for signaling?
2. Does Jicofo also use XMPP to communicate with Jitsi-Meet and
Jitsi-Videobridge?
3. Is the graph below right? And if it's right, I think all the XMPP
packets are processed by prosody, am I wrong?

Thanks a lot for your help~

Best,

Hi,

yes I think this is correct. All is xmpp currently, this is the default
deployment. The only thing is that the jitsi-meet is a web app and the icon
before jicofo is not relevant, it is actually the browsers (chrome,
chromium) which run jitsi-meet, which then talks to jicofo through
xmpp(muc).
