Indeed, although this could only work if both parties are in the same
LAN or if the server knows how to transparently relay media
(latching). While this is quite common for SIP, few XMPP servers
would behave this way.
Yes, i had both computers in the same LAN. When i tried it with
Pidgin over the internet it didnt work mostly (sometimes it did, but
here the fact that both computers were also connected to the same VPN
may have played a role).
