[jitsi-dev] focus.jitsi-meet.example.com

#1

Hi There

Today I have updated from git-hub the jitsi-meet. Now in the config.js,
there is an option focus.jitsi-meet.example.com.

Despite that is disabled, I can not make videconfs, is showing me all
the time an error messages with focus.jitsi-meet.example.com retrying.

What can I do with this?

You will need jicofo for server side focus:

https://github.com/jitsi/jicofo

You have to reconfigure prosody adding another component and then build and afterwards start jicofo.

prosody.lua.cfg

VirtualHost "auth.jitsi.example.com"
    authentification = "internal_plain"
    admins = { "focus@auth.jitsi.example.com" }

Component "focus.v.apaxo.de"
     component_secret="your_secret"

git clone https://github.com/jitsi/jicofo.git
cd jicofo
ant dist.lin64
unzip dist/linux/jicofo-linux-x64-1.zip
cd jicofo-linux-x64-1
./jicofo.sh --domain=jitsi.example.com --secret=your_secret

Thank you in advance.

I would also recommend to only uses releases until you can read the code and figure this out for yourself :wink:

Best regards,

Hope that helps

Hi Manuel

Thank you very much for your reply.

Normally I always upgrade my development server so if something happens is not a big deal.

Sorry for asking about, I thought that this email address was as well for quick support but I will figure out this kind of things by my side in next opportunities.

Best regards.
