[jitsi-dev] File sip-communicator.properties

#1

Hello,

I have a question about sip-communicator.properties file. On Github you're
talking about ~/.sip-communicator/sip-communicator.properties but there's
another file called sip-communicator.properties in /etc/jitsi/videobridge.
Are you talking about the same file ? which one should I actually use to
set NAT options ?

Ps: I'm connected as root.

Regards,

Hi,

can you point us to the reference of
~/.sip-communicator/sip-communicator.properties. The one in
/etc/jitsi/videobridge are used when you install and run it from the
debian packages. When you run from source its another story, but again
the file location can be controlled through system properties like.
For example the following are used when jvb is started in
debian/ubuntu:
-Dnet.java.sip.communicator.SC_HOME_DIR_LOCATION=/etc/jitsi
-Dnet.java.sip.communicator.SC_HOME_DIR_NAME=videobridge
-Dnet.java.sip.communicator.SC_LOG_DIR_LOCATION=/var/log/jitsi/jvb
-Djava.util.logging.config.file=/etc/jitsi/videobridge/logging.properties

I've been really confused.

Hi,

The first one manual-install suppose you are installing everything
from source, so this is normal. While the other two needs some more
description which I will fix soon. Thanks for pointing that.
