[jitsi-dev] Feature Request

#1

I would be great to have an option to separate internal and external calls.

All my clients will have a 3 digit internal call extension. i.e. 442.
When the need to make external calls they need to use the "0" to get the external line.

Request:

If the number is only a 3 digit number the JITSI client should not use the "0" for external calls.
If the number is longer than 3 digits than JITSI should use automatically dial "0" within the background for get the external line and dial out.

UI Design:

This option should be optional for the user because some PBX's will cover this feature
User can define the length of the internal Numbers
User can set the Number for get external calls i.e. "0"

Hey Torsten,

This sounds like something that should definitely be implemented on the
PBX side. Jitsi cannot make assumptions on the numbers users dial. The
PBX on the other hand has full knowledge of its dialplan so it should be
very easy to implement this there.

Cheers,
Emil
