[jitsi-dev] Feature request: Show the used codecs (both outbound and inbound) in the call UI

#1

Hello,

Currently testing different codecs has no visual (or any) feedback for the user, so you dont really know what codecs are being used (apart maybe monitoring bandwidth usage and guessing).

So it would be a great help for these situations if the call UI would show the active codecs. If i remember correctly Jitsi can use more than one codec (one for receiving, one for sending) in certain situations, so it would help if both in and out codecs are shown.
Maybe make it a toggle option in the options menu to remove clutter for the ones who dont need it.

Agreed again. It's also on our todo list so it's all a matter of finding
the time.
