[jitsi-dev] Feature request: Global disable spell checking option

#1

Hello,

I personally dont use spell checking and i would like to disable it. I know it can be disabled from the chat window, but i would like to disable it globally.
Such a checkbox should be present under the general settings in my opinion.

Mmm ... how would such an option behave differently compared to the one
which is in the chat window?

Hello,

It seems that the spell checker setting from the chat window forgets its state. I disable it and the next time another chat window opens and its back on.
Could there be a global spell checker option in the general preferences or, as Emil said, the spell checker settings to be global once set in a chat window?

Hi Kertesz,

r8866 should take care of that. I've also added the option to uninstall
installed dictionaries and a few other things.

Thanks,
Purvesh
