[jitsi-dev] Errors Installing Jitsi Meet stable packages on Debian Jessie

#1

Hi all!

I'm testing the latest versions of stable Jitsi Meet packages in an LXC
container with Debian Jessie amd64 downloaded from here [1]:

jicofo_1.0-319-1_amd64.deb
jitsi-meet_1.0.1595-1_all.deb
jitsi-meet-prosody_1.0.1575-1_all.deb
jitsi-meet-tokens_1.0.1575-1_all.deb
jitsi-meet-web_1.0.1575-1_all.deb
jitsi-meet-web-config_1.0.1575-1_all.deb
jitsi-videobridge_869-1_amd64.deb

I was able to install all packages except
jitsi-meet-tokens_1.0.1575-1_all.deb due to an unfulfilled dependency:
prosody-trunk.

What I am observing when accessing Jitsi Meet:

* The camera captures in a small frame rather than in the larger space.
* The message "conference focus not available".
* Some errors in /var/log/jitsi/jicofo.log:

Hi again!

Hi all!

jitsi-meet-web-config_1.0.1575-1_all.deb

All this can be because of not being able to install the mentioned
package? Attached screenshot.

Thanks in advance.

I did an installation test again in the same environment mentioned above, but this time
using the repositories:

···

---------------------------------------------------------------------
root@conference:/var/log/jitsi# cat /etc/apt/sources.list.d/*
deb https://download.jitsi.org stable/
deb http://packages.prosody.im/debian jessie main
---------------------------------------------------------------------

Installing on this way I did not have the problems mentioned above. And it seems that it
was not necessary the jitsi-meet-tokens package:

---------------------------------------------------------------------
root@conference:/var/log/jitsi# aptitude search jitsi jicofo
i A jicofo - JItsi Meet COnference FOcus
p jitsi-archive-keyring - The public key for the Jitsi packages repository
i jitsi-meet - WebRTC JavaScript video conferences
i A jitsi-meet-prosody - Prosody configuration for Jitsi Meet
p jitsi-meet-tokens - Prosody token authentication plugin for Jitsi Meet
i A jitsi-meet-web - WebRTC JavaScript video conferences
i A jitsi-meet-web-config - Configuration for web serving of Jitsi Meet
i A jitsi-videobridge - WebRTC compatible Selective Forwarding Unit (SFU)
---------------------------------------------------------------------

In jvb.log I am seeing that it is constantly logging these five entries. That is normal?
