[jitsi-dev] Errors in Jitsi Meet after compilation

#1

Hi, Jitsi Team.

I have a test environment where I am compiling jitsi-meet. Today I did
an update of the code with "pull" and then having compiled I think the
whole process ended without problems. However, when I access to the
welcome screen it is displayed in gray with nothing more.

The Chromium Java Console shows the following error:

···

----------------------------------------------------------------------
Uncaught SyntaxError: Invalid or unexpected token backbone.js:3
----------------------------------------------------------------------

The problematic line seems to be this:

------------------------------------------------------------------
        define(['module', 'exports', './underscore', 'backbone'], factory);
------------------------------------------------------------------

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance.

Kind regards,
Daniel

I think I already found the potential cause of the problem. It seems
that the "pull" ended with an "aborting" because the change it had made
in the react/features/app/functions.web.js file. So I deleted the file,
did the "pull" again and then applied the change again. Now I am
compiling again to try again.

A question aside, every time I compile after doing a "pull", is it
necessary to delete the directory "node_modules /?

I deleted the 'node_modules' directory and I ran 'npm install' and

something that got corrupted from some previous process.

Most likely. In principle you don’t need to delete it. You should do an “npm install” after pulling because dependencies may have changes, that’s pretty much all.
