Hi,

There is a document for configuring jitsi-videobridge with ejabberd
(https://jitsi.org/Projects/JitsiVideobridgeWithEjabberd).
Using jicofo is a little bit different, basically this is the prosody
config that you need to convert to ejabberd
https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-meet/blob/master/doc/debian/jitsi-meet-prosody/prosody.cfg.lua-jvb.example
You need several component registrations, a user with password for
jicofo which needs to be admin and this is most of it.

Hello,

Why the docu is taking away?

Hello all,

Hi all,

I tried maybe 1.5 year ago, there was some bugs (in jitsi meet regarding
room locking and maybe more i don't remember)
I went with prosody (simpler / packaged for most distro / tested / enough
for jitsi meet)

Do you really need ejabberd?

No. I have it running...
The other and very interesting way is to use it with ispconfig3 (https://
www.ispconfig.org/) which provides xmpp virtual hosting with metronome.
But also can not find a docu for metronome. Afaik metronome is a fork of
prosody. So Im thinking jitsi-meet should be running with it ? Im looking for
a prosody docu, maybe I can use it for metronome, but was not able to find one.
Someone has a prosody or metronome docu?
Its a pity that there is no docu for various combinations for xmpp- servers
and jitsi-meet.
How is it with a jitsi wiki?

Hi,

I don't think there was any document for that. There were people
trying to do this, at least mentioning it on the mailinglist, but
nobody return with an example.

Hello,

Im really sure that there was a docu. Cause for some time I set it up in a
project. There was also a docu for jicofo like for jitsi-videobridge on the

There is only documentation how to configure ejabberd with jitsi-videobridge:
https://jitsi.org/Projects/JitsiVideobridgeWithEjabberd

But it is not too difficult to "translate" prosody configuration snippets to ejabberd configs for jicofo, etc.
I did it some time ago, but it is much easier to just use prosody and benefit from the debian package "installer magic".

Bernhard
