[jitsi-dev] DTMF issues with Jitter buffer

#1

I am having issues with DTMF on Jitsi through an Asterisk box. If I set
DTMF mode to SIP Info then when I call the Asterisk voicemail I can
interact and everything is fine but then calling external numbers that
require DTMF tones it acts as though I'm not pressing anything. That I
realize may be an issue within Asterisk and I'm looking into that. The
problem with Jitsi is when I set it to Auto DTMF when I call any number
that requires DTMF, internal or external, when I press a key it immediately
goes to a terribly stuttered audio and if I bring up the call info it shows
that it is dropping ~50% of the packets due to the buffer being full (See
attached picture). I tried changing from portaudio to Windows audio and it
didn't overflow the buffer but then the DTMF didn't register on the
receiving end again. I've searched through the list and definitely have
found others with DTMF issues but didn't find anything quite like this. Any
ideas what might be causing this?

Thanks for any help anyone might have.

Are we talking about inband DTMF here?

Hi,

this seems to be exactly the same problem I'm facing and

reported some weeks back and for which I sent some network traffic
dumps.

Only difference is that I use Jitsi in Linux. Problem

description is the same.

At least I'm not alone anymore :-)

Is there any other information we can provide to see this issue

fixed ?

    Regards,

        Adelino.
