[jitsi-dev] DTLS-SRTP vs ZRTP in Jitsi Videobridge

#1

Dear Devs,
the latest changelog informed about introduction of dtls-srtp for the
videobridge - congratulations!!!

short question (I am NOT an expert in crypto) :
will there be a possibility to perform also end-to-end (versus
end-to-site...) authentication via SAS (similar as in zRTP) ?

http://www.ietf.org/mail-archive/web/rtcweb/current/msg04032.html

kind regards, MS

You would have to trust the party running the bridge. This is not
really because of DTLS-SRTP but simply because the bridge needs to
perform a number of operations (e.g. payload type rewriting) that
require it to be able to decrypt and re-encrypt packets.
