[jitsi-dev] Disabling dominant speaker in Jitsi Meet

#1

Hi,

Is there a way to disable the dominant speaker feature in Jitsi Meet, i.e. the automatic switching of video to the dominant speaker?

Regards,
Markus

Hi Markus,

You can “pin” a specific participant either by clicking on his/her avatar or programmatically by sending data channel message to the bridge. For the specific JSON structure of the data channel message you can have a look at the relevant code in lib-jitsi-meet.

Hope this helps.

Best,
George

We have used a parameter of "adaptive" in config to show video.. it works bit.. but not exactly what you are looking for.. you can try out VideoMeet app (built on jitsi) and see if this heLps you..

Thanks
