[jitsi-dev] Disable local IP addresses

#1

In sip-communicator.properties, I can use

org.ice4j.ice.harvest.BLOCKED_ADDRESSES=1.1.1.1;2.2.2.2

to block arbitrary IP addresses from being harvested.

  1. Can I exclude all local addresses from being harvested, so these don't appear in candidates?
  2. Can I exclude a whole network segment, like 10.*.*.* ?

Hi Oliver,

This is just a list of the local addresses that are not allowed to be
used for candidate allocations, yes to your first question. If the
machine has multiple interfaces and you want to use just one of it.
The values need to be the interface address, cannot be a wildcard.

Hi Damian,

Thanks! I think being able to block any local addresses or a complete network segment is becoming important, so I filed an issue:

https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-videobridge/issues/677

Cheers, Oliver
