Content-Type: text/plain; charset=us-asciiDear guys ,
I want to know if you have a roadmap to improve the quality of video and audio in jitsi(especially in android)?
If I want to do this job, where can I start , is there any tip?
Cheers,
Ray.------------------------------
Hi all,
This e-mail is to trigger more replies
on http://lists.jitsi.org/pipermail/dev/2014-September/thread.html#22132My reason for adding 'Welcome' in the subject,
is because I think that an offer for code contribution should not
be ignored.
Hi Geert Stappers,Groeten
Thanks for raising this up.
Hello Ray,
Your request "where can I start" has been seen.
And to answer your 'is there any tip?': Yes, just start!
Configure/Setup a development environment
Git clone the source
Get a first succesfull build
Make a minor change. Example given: modify a text string
Build again
Test to see your modification in action
Make the improvement that you want to make
Build and test
Show your patches for code review
Find a balance in what you think that is important and what others feel important
Thanks for telling me this .
And I want to know about more tech details ,for instance, if I want to
do some work to improve video and audio quality , where I should go to modify the code ,libjitisi ?
or android?ffmpeg?
Hi Pawel ,did you miss my email ,and what are busying with?
Summary: "patches welcome"
Back to
I want to know if you have a roadmap to improve the quality of video
and audio in jitsi(especially in android)?See what happens in the next days.
If the "have you a roadmap to improve ..." question is still ignored,
then elaborate it.
Or allready tell now what you want to achieve, what you expect.Groeten
Geert Stappers
New to the jitsi project
YES , I will be looking on this.
