[jitsi-dev] Desktop Sharing Extension doesn't work on Chrome 52-53....

#1

Hello everyone,

The Desktop Sharing Extension doesn't work on Chrome 52 and newer. I get a black screen when I try to share my Desktop with other participants. I tried Chrome version 51.0.2704.84 and it works properly.

Should I update something on my Jitsi Server?

Best regards,
Hamza KHAIT

Do you see this when using meet.jit.si? Do you have any errors in the
console when it is not working?

Hello Damian,

Yes It works on meet.jit.si but not on our server since the version 52 of Chrome. I have no errors in the console though.. it acts like nothing happens.

we haven't updated our Jitsi Meet server since April 2016 (the JavaScript code, jicofo, jvb, prosody and Nginx...) but everything used to work well with Chrome v51.

Regards,
Hamza KHAIT

Hi,

I'm not sure what changed in meet or in chrome that can be causing
this, but as meet.jit.si works I suppose updating the components will
fix it.
