[jitsi-dev] Delay in RTP Packets

#1

Hi,

I m using Jitsi build 2.1.0 in which I observer that the delay between two
RTP packets is about 300ms.

I m using codec PCMU and the flow of RTP is endpoint to endpoint .

Server I m using Freeswitch.

Network Delay is around 10ms to 20ms.

Is there any way to minimize that delay.

Thanks,

Where exactly do you observe that delay of 300ms? At a specific
location in the source code?

What exactly I do I send a byte in RTP extension on basis of that byte
I change the value of flag.

Byte represent ON|OFF

After getting the first ON and OFF byte the next ON byte I get after 300 ms.

The codec I used is PCMU. I think the delay is in buffering the Raw Packet
and in packetization of Raw Packet.

The Adaptive jitter is 47ms minimum and 103 ms maximum.

Thanks,
