[jitsi-dev] default skins

#1

Good Afternoon Developers,

I was wondering what zip file I need for the skins option in the advanced
window? Thanks.

Hi Leonid,

Please look at http://java.net/projects/jitsi/lists/dev/archive/2010-12/message/1 and download the attachement (demo.zip). To test it simply follow instructions of the link.

If you open the zip, I think you can play with colors/colors.properties and images/images.properties to apply skins of you choices (be sure to modify info.properties, rebuild the zip and add it again in skins configuration).

Regards,

Also, I was wondering if there is a default demo.zip file of jitsi that I could start with? Thanks for the help.

I don't think there is a specific "default skins" zip file _but_ if you look at resources/ directory of Jitsi sources you can find the same directory as in demo.zip (colors, images, styles) so a copy of these directory as well as info.properties file (take and modify the one from demo.zip) into a new zip file could be a starting point for new skins zip file.

    Hey Seb,
Thank you very much for the email. I was wondering if there is a
way to changed the color of the home screen from white to grey.
Thanks. Also is there a way to resize the buttons so they are
    touchscreen friendly. Thanks.

You should look at resources/colors/colors.properties and find the properties you want (there is a comment for each property so you can know which component it is).

For the button resizing, I think it is not possible with skins systems.

Regards,

Hi Sebastien,

Thank you very much for the email. I was wondering if there is a default
location I can put the folders/zip file in so it reads in the new colors
automatically or do I need to compile those folders into jitsi, because
sometime the advance menu in jitsi doesn't show up. Thank you very much for
your help.

Thanks,
Leo
