[jitsi-dev] Crash on first start up ONLY. Appcrash in ntdll.dll

#1

I'm seeing the Windows version of Jitsi (from SVN) crash the first time I
run it. When I rerun the client, it then works fine (as far as I can tell -
at least there's no crash!). Even after uninstalling the app, removing
appdata/roaming and program files, I still can't get this to happen again.
It does happen consistently on every PC I try it on, but only the first
time I run it. I'm running out of PCs to repro this on, but if there's any
diagnostics that I can collect, let me know.

Also, I've seen the installer crash a few times

Problem signature:
  Problem Event Name: APPCRASH
  Application Name: explorer.exe

  Application Timestamp: 4d672ee4

  Locale ID: 2057

I've built the installer using tdm-gcc-4.6.1

Running on Windows 7 (64bit). Running latest code from SVN (first saw this
is rev 9719 when I started looking at Jitsi)
I've searched JIRA and the dev mailing list and don't see anything like
this. (BTW - both are very slow - is there a way to get an offline copy of
the mailing list archives to allow quicker searching?)

(I did see this crash twice on the same PC (Windows 7 - 64 bit). The second
time was possibly after switching to installing from an MSI or possibly
switching to a 64 bit build.)

Any thoughts or tips on how to debug this? I'm guessing that it's something
to do with how I'm building it...

Thanks
Tom

Does the problem also occur with the Jitsi installers that you
download from jtisi.org?

Nope, I'm only seeing it with self build installers.
