[jitsi-dev] Conference Failed Error - focus.subdomain.example.com fails in retry

#1

Hi,

I'm using jitsi-meet on Ubuntu 16.04 and I keep receiving focus errors
after retries.

Why is that happening?

conference.js:361 CONFERENCE FAILED: conference.focusDisconnected
focus.subdomain.example.com

A conference focus error message appears after 1000ms, 2000ms,4000ms,8000ms
...
Please help.

Thanks,
David

Hi,

You need to check your jicofo logs, seems jicofo is not running or not
connected to prosody.

Hi,

Check that the secret(JICOFO_SECRET) in your config
/etc/jitsi/jicofo/config is the same as the one
in /etc/prosody/conf.d/subdomain.example.com.lua:
Component "focus.subdomain.example.com"
    component_secret = "somesecret"
