[jitsi-dev] Can we override the options from /usr/share/jitsi-meet/interface_config.js in /etc/jitsi/meet/ ?

#1

Hi,
Because when jitsi-meet gets updated, the interface customizations are lost
tried overriding the default settings set in the
/usr/share/jitsi-meet/interface_config.js file in /etc/jitsi/meet/. Tried
copying and modifying the file, and tried inserting its contents into my
existing .js file. None worked.

Can it be done somehow in order to have a fixed configuration as for the
rest of the components?

#2

It should be a matter of copying the file in /etc/jitsi/meet and instructing nginx to load it from there (see what it does for config.js in /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/<domain>.conf).

Boris

Thanks, it is working.

I added

location /interface_config.js {
        alias /etc/jitsi/meet/interface_config.js;
    }

to the /etc/nginx/sites-enabled/domainname.conf right below the

location /config.js {
        alias /etc/jitsi/meet/domainname-config.js;
    }

section.
