[jitsi-dev] Call Recording stopped working in Build 3471?

#1

Hi,

I've just upgraded to Jitsi Beta 1 Nightly Build 3471, and I've noticed that
the call recording function doesn't seem to be working. Even after turning
it on, nothing seems to happen, no Growl notifications, and no file
generated.

Previously, this was working fine for me, and recording was great.

This is on OSX Lion 10.7 Developer Preview 3 (yes, I know, pre-release
OS...lol, but I swear Jitsi call recording was working fine before).

Can anybody else confirm this issue? I was about to post a bug report, but
it mentioned there I should post to this mailing list first before launching
a bug report. Hopefully it's something small at my end.

Cheers,
Victor

I am able to reproduce a crash every time I initiate a recording on
10.5. The crash report mentions jnffmpeg.jnilib which was indeed changed
recently so this might also explain your issue.

We are currently looking at it and will keep the list posted.

Cheers,
Emil

Thank you for the report! The problem was that the FFmpeg library was
using posix_memalign on Mac OS X which is not implemented (because
memory is always aligned) but is declared anyway. A fix has been
committed in r8597.

Unfortunately, r8597/build 3472 was reported to break the FFmpeg JNI
library on Mac OS X and 32-bit Java. A fix has been committed in r8598
so you should either make sure to run build 3472 with 64-bit Java or
wait for a subsequent build which incorporates r8598.
