[jitsi-dev] Build fails with errors: "reference to ImageUtils is ambiguous"

#1

Build fails with lots of these errors:

reference to ImageUtils is ambiguous, both class
net.java.sip.communicator.util.ImageUtils in
net.java.sip.communicator.util and class
net.java.sip.communicator.plugin.desktoputil.ImageUtils in
net.java.sip.communicator.plugin.desktoputil match

A log is appended.

Cheers,
Andreas

Hey,

can you try rebuilding. It's advised to rebuild when there was a lot
of class/package changes.

Thanks, ant clean make was successful.

Is there an error in ant or the ant build scripts ?

Hi,

no everything is fine. Ant compile target actually compiles the files
that were changed since the last compile and leaves the old classes
untouched. And in a case where a class has moved to new package you
may end up with the errors you have (the same class in two packages).
That's why in such situations rebuild is used , which is doing clean
and then make.
