[jitsi-dev] Blank Main Window

#1

Good day Jitsi developers,
I'm having a problem with Jitsi. When I
start it, the main window is blank and I can do nothing but access a few
of Jitsi's setting by right-clicking the Jitsi icon in the status bar. I
can't see my contacts, chat or really do anything with the program,
only configure it.

I'm using Arch Linux and OpenJDK7. I've tried
all Jitsi versions from the AUR as well as built my own (both stable and
nightlies) but no luck. The console output usually complains about
JACK:

jack_client_new: deprecated
Cannot connect to server socket err = No such file or directory
Cannot connect to server socket
jack server is not running or cannot be started
jack_client_new: deprecated

jack_client_new: deprecated
Cannot connect to server socket err = No such file or directory
Cannot connect to server socket

If I start JACK, Jitsi aside from the fact that Jitsi doesn't show up as a client, the console output is this:

jack_client_new: deprecated
jack_client_new: deprecated

But
there's still no UI whatsoever (aside from the one I get by
right-clicking on the status bar icon, "Options", "Add contact", "Set
status", etc.). I've looked for the issue in the mailing list and bug
tracker but didn't find it. Thanks for listening.
