[jitsi-dev] authorization popups with no text

#1

See attachments for symptom.

These were captured on a Ubuntu Linux x86 (32-bit) machine running
latest Jitsi stable.

Chain of events for screenshot #1:

1. One of my contacts removes me from their contact list
2. I get a popup with no text in it.

I assume my authorization should not be required for anyone to remove
me from their contact list, so not sure what went wrong here.

Screenshot #2 (the second authorization window with no text in it)
occurred shortly (a few seconds) after that.

Let me know if logs or any other information would help troubleshoot this.

Cheers

Alex

Hi,

I just saw the same problem with no text on the authentication request
dialog, I reproduced it on windows xp, strange is that if you resize
the dialog everything is ok.
Will look at the problem.

Hi,

this is still reproducable with nightly builds when one jit.si account
authorizes another jit.si account to add him/her to the contact list.

Steps to reproduce:

1. a@jit.si attempts to add b@jit.si to his contact list.
2. b@jit.si gets a popup asking for permission to be added to
a@jit.si's contact list
3. b@jit.si accepts the request
4. b@jit.si shows up at a@jit.si's contact list
5. b@jit.si gets an empty popup window (instead of the expected
"authorization response - a@jit.si contact has accepted your
authorization request." window (which you might want to consider
rephrasing, as strictly speaking b@jit.si never explicitly sent
a@jit.si an authorization request, and a@jit.si never accepted it). We
just make a logical assumption that a@jit.si will want to show up at
b@jit.si's contact list.

This is not 100% reproducible, I've only seen it 3-4 times over the past month.

In this case b@jit.si is running Ubuntu 12.04 32-bit build 4106,
a@jit.si is running Win7 32-bit build 4103
