[jitsi-dev] #1203: Drag and drop in Videobridge conferences

#1

Hey Boby,

We didn't get a chance to chat about this the other day so I thought I'd drop you a note here:

Currently the best way to address this would be to change the mouse cursor in a way to indicate that dropping the contact into the call is not possible.

Eventually however, after we implement the Videobridge service and make it usable for SIP accounts, we will be able to simply add anyone to a bridge.

Cheers,
Emil

#1203: Drag and drop in Videobridge conferences
-----------------------------------------------+--------------------
  Reporter: lyubomir | Owner: boris
      Type: defect | Status: new
  Priority: 8 | Milestone:
Component: videobridge and videoconferencing | Resolution:
  Keywords: |
-----------------------------------------------+--------------------

Comment (by boris):

The current situation is as follows:
The invite dialog shows only contacts from the account through which the
call is to be established. If a string is entered into the search field,
additional contacts are shown from the address book and call history.

Contacts from the videobridge account can be dropped into a videobrdige
  conference correctly.
Contacts on other XMPP accounts cannot be dropped into a videobridge
conference -- an appropriate error message is displayed.
SIP contacts can be dropped into a videobrdige conference. This results in
them being invited (by the focus with its own transport, not using the
videobridge) and added to the conference. Media is broken.

Metacontacts with either a contact on the account used for the videobridge
conference, or a SIP contact can be dropped into a videobridge conference.
If a metacontact has both, sometimes the SIP account is used (which leads
  to the failure above).
