Jibri joining view

We are trying to set up video recording using Jibri for our Jitsi setup. The recording is working properly, however jibri records the meeting in tiles view, which means a lot of wasted space when 15-20 of the 20-25 participants are not sharing their video.

Is there any option to make jibri record the session in Single person view (Filmstrip view where the person with most activity is shown, kind of similar to hangouts) or showing only the people with video on or something similar.

Extra info - We are using lib-jitsi-meet for the implementation.

When using jitsi-meet you can enable “everyone follow me” and switch off grid view.

Hey, the issue is that we’ve made a custom UI using lib-jitsi-meet.
Is there an option to enable follow me/switch off grid view inside the lib-jitsi-meet API?

Yes, jitsi-meet uses lib-jitsi-meet as you know, so for that it is used the sendCommands https://github.com/jitsi/lib-jitsi-meet/blob/master/JitsiConference.js#L846

So you need to implement this.

Thanks a lot, I’ll look into it
