Jibri deb release cycle

Hi everyone,

First of all, thanks for your excellent work on Jitsi ecosystem, it truly is a great, high quality project. We are wondering what’s the release cycle of the stable deb files (https://download.jitsi.org/stable/)? We’d like to use some of the features that were recently added to Jibri source. We were wondering if there is an ETA for the next stable deb file release?

Thanks,
James

Hey James,
We don’ have a very regular cadence for the stable releases there–it’s really just when we remember :frowning:. I acknowledge this is a lousy response to this question but I’m afraid it’s the current state of the world.

I will say that we strive to keep master quite stable–we haven’t had many regressions make their way into Jibri master but that’s not to say that it can’t/doesn’t happen. I would say that it may be worth playing with the unstable releases, but I’ll also look a generating a stable debian release as well (maybe not from tip of master, but more recent than the latest one).

I just promoted jibri_8.0-53-ga574be9 to stable.

Wow, thank you very much @bbaldino.
