I’ve been trying to get an answer via the support contact but no luck!
Is it possible with JAAS to start meetings the same way it is working on https://meet.jit.si/
In my web app, the user create a page which includes a room in a an iFrame.
The room is generated with the slug of the page. For example if I create a page example.com/my-test-room, it would create a room on https://meet.jit.si/my-test-room.
Working fine with the opened jitsi interface or with my own jitsi install on Ubuntu.
But on JAAS, it seems Rooms must be created in the Dashboard before to be accessible.
Did I miss anything or is it Mandatory to have access to Dashboard to create Rooms?
Merci for your help!
The room name can be passed from the embedding web page as I think you are already trying.
For integrating JaaS is that you need to:
- specify your tenant as room prefix for the roomName value (e.g. vpaas-magic-cookie-123/myRoomName)
- pass a JWT signed with one of your key pairs registered at https://jaas.8x8.vc/#/apikeys
Please take a look at the sample app at https://jaas.8x8.vc/#/sample for a working example.
Merci, as mentionned in other posts on this Comunity, I’m quite new in all those backoffice stuff.
I will explore your link now I know could achieve my goal.
I explored your link then tried to implement JWT auth on my WordPress but now I must admit I’m quite Lost!
Point 1 seems quite clear to me. I will be able to generate new rooms by just creating new “myRoomName”, will I?
Point 2 is really new to me and I can’t figure out how I can manage to create the JWT token with the key pairs and pass it to the script.
Would you have a basic PHP example for the use of JWT Token?
Thank you for your help,
