While I can connect to my own Jitsi instance fine with a web browser, I cannot do so with an iPad.
The server URL in the Settings on the iPad has been changed to the URL of my own Jitsi instance but the iPad keeps connecting to the public Jitsi server (meet.jit.si). Clicking on “Invite others”, then Mail confirms that as the email that would be sent shows the public Jitsi URL, not my own Jitsi’s instance URL.
I’m running the latest version of the app (20.2.1 build 68).
Hi, this is a SSL problem. Self.signed certificates won’t work with iOS or Android.
Launch /usr/share/jitsi-meet/scripts/install-letsencrypt-cert.sh , according with quick-install guide:
Hi pierpy. Thanks for your response. I’m not using a self signed certificate though; I did see the various post referring to that. Perhaps the app could explicitly state that if it encounters that situation instead of, presumably, silently falling back to the public servers.
Meanwhile I have discovered that uninstalling and reinstalling the app resolves the issue.
