Invite participants via Invite Service & Participants restrictions

We’re considering to integrate Jitsi into our system and studying all capabilities of your service.
Here are a few questions:

  1. I found ‘invite’ function in the external API that allows inviting users to the call via Invite Service. Also, I can specify ‘invitees’ in options for creating API object. But I didn’t found where to specify our Invite Service URL. I found this topic: How to invite new participants via meet external api? where is said to use inviteServiceUrl in config. But it doesn’t send any requests to this url. Here is my code:

const domain = ‘’;
const options = {
roomName: ‘JitsiMeetAPIExample’,
width: 700,
height: 700,
parentNode: document.querySelector(’#container’),
configOverwrite: { inviteServiceUrl: ‘myInviteServiceURL’ },
invitees: [{id: ‘123’}, {id: ‘321’}]
const api = new JitsiMeetExternalAPI(domain, options);
// try to invite using direct call of ‘invite’ function
api.invite([ {id: ‘123’}, {id: ‘321’} ]).then(() => {
console.log(“Invite success”);
}).catch(() => {
console.log(“Invite fail”);

  1. Is there a way to restrict users who can join the video-conference, not only create?

Thank you!
