How to switch from jetty to Nginx

Hi I got jitsi installed and working but I find after about 45 min of conferencing w/ 3 users, the 3rd user drops off, then 60 seconds later the 2nd user drops out, then I have to reboot the server to get it to work again. The VM has 8GB of RAM and 12 vCPUs so I don’t think its hardware.

HOWEVER, I found out that there is some sort of web server called Jetty that gets installed by default if you don’t have nginx installed. Sooo, my question is, how do I get rid of Jetty and switch over to Nginx???

I guess it’s impossible

Jetty is no longer default one to be installed, the default one is nginx.

Ok so does that mean I have to build a new server from scratch?

Nope, you are already running jetty I guess.

Thanks for answering but maybe I phrased my question incorrectly.

How do I get rid of jetty? I want to use nginx instead of jetty. So maybe my question should be:

How do I uninstall Jetty and switch over to nginx?

Which version of packages do you use, jetty was default in packages from 2019 and before, all packages from 2020 use nginx as default.

I’m running ubuntu 18.04 and here is the content of /etc/apt/sources.list.d/jitsi-stable.list:

deb stable/

According to apt, these are the package versions:

jitsi: 2.10.5550-1
jitsi-meet: 1.0.4101-1
jitsi-meet-web: 1.0.3729-1
jitsi-meet-prosody: 1.0.3729-1
jitsi-videobridge: 1126-1

Just upgrade and it will upgrade to one using nginx. You are using a version from last year.

Ahhhh, ok thanks
