Hide non Video Users

I can hide non video users using .display-avatar-only{display:none !important}
But

  1. it also hides them from the filmstrip.
  2. Video size in tile view is still calculated using all participants ( so tile of users with video becomes very small).
    Any clues to make it work correctly either hack or pointer to react changes though I have no knowledge of react.

Yes, this has been my experience as well. The CSS hack works as a ‘dirty’ alternative, but actual work needs to be done on the backend to make those users still identifiable in the filmstrip (which is the closest thing to a participant list we have) and to not factor them int calculations around available display space.

I just got off the community call and it was actually one of my questions, but I didn’t even need to ask - the team is already working on it. :smiley: It sounds like it’s close to completion and this should be ready out-of-the-box soon. Thought I’d share the good news.

Freddie - this sounds great if the solution is very close :smiley: :smiley:

Any update on this ?

Yes plz dear Freddie - let us know about it :slight_smile:

Can we read more about this feature and if the team is working on it? Can’t find it on Github.
