Help on installing Jitsi on CPANEL

Hello! I appreciate you for reading this and goodwill to help. We need to install Jitsi on a subdomain of ours. We mainly manage the server through whm and Cpanel. Our instance is a Centos 7.

Would it be possible to copy the folders and paste them on the file manager? Example, home/admin/public_html/subdomain

Any piece of advice will very much appreciate it. Thank you and have a nice day!

We provide debian packages for the components, and even for them you need ssh and root access to install them, as there are few running process that are needed (webserver, xmpp server, jicofo our conferencing focus and the media relay the jitsi-videorbidge).

Thank you so much for your reply. I have ssh and root access. Do you you have a guide link to follow through?
I believe we have all that install, except for jicofo and the media really. Again I truly appreciate the support.

I have 2 dedicated server under the great WHM/cpanel.
Mine are on Centos

i think that in this particular and trouble context you can open a Cpanel official forum thread asking for help deploying JITSI under WHM …

Could be cool and, may be, i hope, surprisingly helping
Just try… you have nothing to loose

Apparently so far it has not been done, since Jitsi does not support Centos. (WHM & CPANEL runs on centos)

Any ideas on how to develop it to install it and support Jitsi on CENTOS?

regards, very beautiful SW.

some reason/explanation for team not compile Jitsi for CentOs ??

You can use docker

Master I no understand.

I run:

	[root@cia ~]# jitsi -v
	Jitsi 2.10.5550
	[root@cia ~]#

	[root@cia ~]# jitsi -v
	Jitsi 2.10.5550
	[root@manizales ~]# yum install jitsi-meet
	Loaded plugins: fastestmirror
	Loading mirror speeds from cached hostfile
	 * base:
	 * epel:
	 * extras:
	 * updates:
	No package jitsi-meet available.
	Error: Nothing to do
	[root@cia ~]#

I install in this method:

	cd /etc/yum.repos.d/
	yum install jitsi

Then I no understand…

Jitsi is the legacy Desktop app and is not jitsi-meet.

Master I need install Jitsi-meet ?

I have CentOs 7 and I want users connect to my VPS and then create a room for callings…

How I can doit ?

Many thanks.
Logically I’m a novice.
When we have CentOs 7 “empty”
we install CSF + WEBMIN + JAVA

in this point,
is correct start with: ??

or we have some PRE-requisite different to JAVA?

You only need JAVA, update YUM, and run this steaps:

surelly is necessary edit a bit, but if I can, YOU CAN!!!

By example in my case,
I try more of 20 times using

	curl -L "$(uname -s)-$(uname -m)" -o /usr/local/bin/docker-compose

… finally I descovery in my VPS I need use:

	curl -L "$(uname -s)-$(uname -m)" -o /usr/bin/docker-compose

LOOK version difference!

Thanks to Jitsi Community by this “gift”,
