You specifically MUST run the aplay and arecord command as the jibri user. You can accomplish this by starting a shell as the jibri user using:

sudo su - jibri

Then once logged in to that shell, you can run:

aplay -L

You should see something like this:

If not, ensure that there is a .asoundrc file in the jibri home directory and try again.

Here I have attached the aplay and arecord outputs which look fine to me. Please check and let me know if anything is missing. I am running Jibri on Ubuntu 16.04.
