Hardware requirements for Jitsi server + Jibri

Hello, i want to set up my own Jitsi backend (server). The goal is to record all sessions that are running through that server via Jibri.

  1. Do i need to have a seperate server where Jibri runs on or can Jibri as participant be on the same server where Jitsi runs on?

  2. Going off a baseline of 10 people in a meeting with 1080p what kind of hardware (cores / ram) / bandwidth do i need for both Jitsi / Jibri.

Thank you.

I think you’re gonna need one small server per Jibri instance and each instance can record only one conference at the same time. So, you’ll need a pool of jibri instances depending on the amount of conferences you want to record simultaneously.
