Getting an error using .connect in lib-jitsi-meet

#1

I’m trying to use the lib-jitsi-meet in a react application.

Trying to incorporate the example from the docs, https://github.com/jitsi/lib-jitsi-meet/blob/master/doc/example/example.js

Using the following config info

const options = {
      hosts: {
        domain: 'https://beta.meet.jit.si',
        muc: 'beta.meet.jit.si', // FIXME: use XEP-0030
      },
      bosh: '//beta.meet.jit.si/http-bind', // FIXME: use xep-0156 for that

      // The name of client node advertised in XEP-0115 'c' stanza
      clientNode: 'https://beta.meet.jit.si',
    }

and then calling:

window.JitsiMeetJS.init(initOptions)
      .then(() => {
        this.connection = new window.JitsiMeetJS.JitsiConnection(
          null,
          null,
          options
        )
        this.connection.connect()

Connect fails with following in the console:

Any help would be appreciated

Your config is wrong.
domain should be ‘beta.meet.jit.si’ and muc should be ‘conference.beta.meet.jit.si’
Check: https://beta.meet.jit.si/config.js for examples.
Changing those, does it work for you?

Sweet. Yes that seems to have fixed that issue. Thank you so much :slight_smile:
