GET_SESSION_ID_ERROR : Prosody-0.11,Ubuntu-19.04

Hi, I did a quick install and implemented secure domain. my ubuntu version was 18.04 and prosody version was 0.10 .
Then I needed mod_muc_size module which requires prosody 0.11 and I upgraded my prosody version and configured again like before. By this time I even upgraded to ubuntu 19.04. Now I am getting this error in authentication with “GET_SESSION_ID_ERROR” though it was working fine.

please help and Thanx in advance :heart:
@damencho @saghul

Change your storage in prosody config to memory.

1 Like

in 192.168.0.149.cfg.lua(storage=none) or prosody.cfg.lua(storage=null) ? or both?
Thanx :heart:

I tried using “memory” for “storage=” in prosody.cfg.lua and 192.168.0.149.cfg.lua and then restart prosody, jicofo and nginx but same error. sessionid still null in js log and then strophe disconnects :slight_smile:

@damencho
thanx in advance.

These are the errors when wrong storage driver is used, you should have storage = "memory" in prosody config, is that true?
Jitsi-meet installation scripts take care of setting this when you first install prosody-0.11 first and then jitsi-meet https://github.com/jitsi/jitsi-meet/blob/master/debian/jitsi-meet-prosody.postinst#L135

yes that is true… I followed ur instruction and made: storage=“memory” -in prosody config.
what should I do now? I didnt understandthe file u shared.
I installed jitsi meet and then later upgraded prosody to 0.11

Can you paste your prosody config file after you’ve made the changes?

Change the storage from none also to memory in the conference.192… component.

@saghul thanx a lot :slight_smile: I just did a simple mistake by not adding “memory” to my specific host though I configured globally
Thanx a lot :heartbeat:

for whom it concerns, change storage to “memory” mainly in specific host config first… I forgot because as I just upgraded so it was set to none by default though I configured globally.and secure domain is working perfectly till now in ubuntu 19.04, prosody-0.11.3 . Thanx
