Freezes during meetings

After an update to the current version of Jitsi on my Ubuntu server I am struggling with freezes during meetings.
Every few minutes everything (so video and audio) freezes for all participants. Takes about 1-2 seconds, then everything gets back to normal. I didn’t change anything else.

Both CPU and RAM have enough headroom.

I don’t have any clue where to start debugging this behaviour.

Can anybody give me some hints where to start?

Thanks!

What is the java version you use?

It’s openjdk 14.0.2

Make sure you use java11 (or java8) that will fix it.
The jvb and the garbage collection had been tested/optimized for those two versions. And garbage collection can cause pauses in the realtime performance.
