DNS records for a auth/focus/conference/videobridge and other

When digging through jitsis conf files I see these domains (examples):

jitsi.example.net
auth.jitsi.example.net
focus.jitsi.example.net
conference.jitsi.example.net
videobridge.jitsi.example.net

Do I need to set a DNS A and/or AAAA record for all these domains?

Further I’ve found these domains:

avmoderation.localhost
speakerstats.localhost
conferenceduration.localhost
endconference.localhost
breakout.localhost
internal.auth.localhost
lobby.localhost

Will I need to add these to /etc/hosts?

recorder.localhost

Nope, these are prosody xmpp virtual hosts internal to the system. The only thing that needs a DNS is the the virtualhost that is configured in nginx.
The webserver is the entry point for everything and is the only thing that needs a DNS.
If you are hosting everything on the same machine there is one case in which you may want a second DNS: Setting up TURN | Jitsi Meet

Great, thanks.
